Our guest on this week’s episode of Suds & Search is Martha Van Berkel, CEO and Co-founder of SchemaApp.

Martha is an in-demand conference presenter, educator, blogger, entrepreneur, and the leading expert in our industry on structured data and Schema.

Martha is ubiquitous on the conference circuit. A few places you might’ve seen her speak include Pubcon, Brighton SEO, State of Search, and many of the different SMX events.

In the past few years, the prevalence of rich results has exploded. Gone are the days of 10 blue links. Today, Google has rich results for virtually anything you could search for. In order to get those highly coveted rich results, you’ll need to take advantage of Schema.

Oftentimes marketers and web developers view Schema more as a task to do once and after it’s done you can set it and forget it. In Martha’s opinion, marketers need a robust Schema strategy.

What goes into a Schema strategy?

Who in an organization is actually in charge of that strategy?

What reporting tools exist to determine whether or not the strategy is working?

We’re going to ask Martha these questions and many others.

Grab something cold to drink and join us for a conversation with Martha Van Berkel. We’ll talk about connected schema markup, why Schema is the language of search engines, and we’ll spend a little time talking to her about the new tool her team created called Schema Performance Analytics.
