Welcome back to another episode of Local Search Tuesdays. This week, I’m sharing some exciting details about our new conference for auto dealers.

We’ve been talking for a few years about starting a new conference series for car dealers. Automotive conferences have “lost their way” – they’re really just money-making vehicles for the conference organizers. Dealers have become incredibly frustrated with the basic-level content, and the conference organizers only seem to care about the vendors in the expo area, since that’s where they make most of their money.

Even worse – many of the conferences in automotive are pay to play. Speakers have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to get to speak at events, and that just doesn’t make sense.

So with Ignition, we’re reinventing the automotive conference. We’re focusing on education and value for the dealership attendees. The conference is going to be held on Monday, August 28th in Dallas. Since Dallas is in the middle of the country and it’s the main hub for Southwest Airlines and American Airlines, it’ll be easy and cheap to fly in. AND, dealers can fly in on Sunday afternoon, when most dealerships are closed. The event ends at 5 pm on Monday, so dealers can fly home Monday night and only miss one day of work.

Tickets for the conference are only $350. The best of the best speakers have been invited to present – no one pitched, and no one had to pay thousands to participate. They’re bringing expert level advanced content, and they’re all popular speakers that you’ll all know. It will also be a single track event, so you’ll get to see every speaker.

Even better – this will be the first conference in automotive with an even 50/50 split between men and women speakers. You’ll learn from Bobbie Herron, Jennifer Briggs, Eliana Raggio, Subi Ghosh, George Nenni, Mark Irvine, Shaun Raines, and me. Yep, for the first time in years, the Beard and the Hair will be back together! We’ll also have a panel of dealership marketing leaders, and Eliana will be the emcee for the day.

Best of all – there will be zero vendors at the conference. None. Zip. Nada. No expo hall, no tables, no sales people, nothing. The day is all about advanced education, so we don’t want the distraction of vendors trying to hawk their wares.

You can check out all the details at ignitionautomotiveconference.com. If you’re an auto dealer, make sure you grab a ticket fast. We’re limiting ticket sales to 200 dealers – we want to keep this small and intimate so that it’s a more effective learning environment. You don’t want to miss it, so go get registered today!

If you’ve got questions, you can text us with the widget on the Ignition site. And for now, that’s all the time we’ve got left, so you know what that means:
