Welcome back to the final episode of Local Search Tuesdays for 2025. This week, I’m sharing a list of the ten most popular episodes from this year, so strap in!
It’s the last episode of 2025 today, but before I get into the list of most popular episodes, I’ve got to give a special shoutout. Today’s the 30th of December, and that’s my mom’s birthday - so I wanted to take a sec to wish my mom a happy birthday!
For the last episode every year, I hit the analytics and check view counts on both Wistia, our on-site video host, and YouTube, where we post copies of all the episodes. I aggregate all the numbers to figure out which videos had the most views, and it’s an interesting list this year. We’ll list links to each episode in the transcript on the site so it’s easy to check out the ones you haven’t seen.

I talked about how to report reviews that violate guidelines, how to respond to reviews, and how to deal with customers who leave bad reviews.

This is always our biggest conference of the year, so no surprise that this was a popular video.
Number 8:
How to appeal a suspended Google Business Profile
This one did really well on YouTube, likely because Google is aggressively fighting fake business profiles and lots of legitimate businesses are getting caught in the crosshairs. In the episode, I walk through how to get reinstated if you get suspended.

This one always makes the top 10 list every year. We have people read mean tweets about themselves, so it’s hilarious every time.
Number 6:
NADA content took 3 top spots in this year’s top ten list. In this episode, I collected quick tips from experts at NADA. My tip videos came in strong this year, if we had done a top 20 episode list, there would have been 4 different tip episodes in there from various conferences.

Add text messaging to your GBP
This was the episode where I talked about Google’s update that lets you add a text messaging phone number to your Google Business Profile.

Since April first was a Tuesday this year, I couldn’t resist doing an April Fool’s Day episode. I got Joy Hawkins to guest to make it appear even more legitimate… But it was a ridiculous claim that meta keywords had been added back to the algorithm and it was a ridiculous silver bullet for ranking. The best part was that everyone believed it, and we got calls about it for months after the fact.

This one smashed all the others with over 2 times the number of views. I walked through the things that need to be included in a GBP verification video, and since so many people struggle with the verification videos, this one got a LOT of views.
