VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

If you’ve been watching this series for long at all, you know how obsessed with movies I am, especially horror movies, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I go way out every year… check out the awesome barfing skeleton I built for our front yard this year.

So every year for this most awesome of days, I share a list of horror movies to watch. I’ve done obscure movies, sequels, and a list of best movies on each streaming service. This year, I’m sharing my top ten list of best horror movies and scary shows to watch this year for Halloween.

Number 10: Slaughterhouse
This one was just released on Hulu, and it’s an absolute blast. A poached sloth ends up in a sorority house, and surprise, surprise! It turns out sloths aren’t cuddly or slow, they’re fast, lethal killers. The movie really leans into the ridiculous premise – it’s absolutely hilarious.

Number 9: 30 Coins
This show is amazing, but hardly anyone saw the first season because it was a Spanish show and it came out way under the radar. It was popular enough that it looks like this season was shot in English, and it looks even more awesome than the first season. It centers around the 30 pieces of silver that Judas was paid to betray Jesus and how they’re a powerful religious icon. And it gets really nuts and really scary quickly.

Number 8: Five Nights at Freddy’s
Everyone’s heard of the games, and the movie came out last Friday. It’s getting pretty good reviews and Peeta Mellark stars as the security guard who’s trying to survive the possessed animatronics at the abandoned pizza place.

Number 7: The Fall of the House of Usher
Mike Flanagan has made some of the most awesome scary series ever on TV, and his newest series is really fun. It’s not incredibly scary, but it’s creepy and has a really killer ending. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already.

Number 6: Beetlejuice
Obviously a classic that everyone has seen, but since they’re making a sequel, it’s definitely time to give it another watch to refresh your memory.

Number 5: Talk to Me
This one came out a few months ago on streaming and it’s a blast. There are some great jump scares, some awesome effects, and a seriously kick ass ending.

Number 4: Chucky
The Child’s Play movies were always a blast, but I might actually like the TV series better. It’s fun for casual fans, but if you’re a big fan of the movies, there are REALLY deep references in almost every episode. The kills are gloriously graphic and the series is hilarious.

Number 3: Trick r Treat
I know, I put this on the list every year, but come on, it’s awesome. I’m still holding onto hope that they’ll make a sequel, but it should definitely be on everyone’s must-watch list at Halloween.

Number 2: Halloween
The granddaddy of slasher films, the one that started it all. Did you really have a good Halloween if you didn’t watch Halloween? You know what I’m saying, and you totally agree. You’ve just got to watch Halloween every Halloween.

And Numer 1: Terrifier 2
This is by far the best slasher film ever made. Art the Clown is so creepy and the effects are unbelievably awesome. Come for the gross-outs, stay for the awesome story.

So thats’ my list of the best ten things to watch for Halloween this year. I hope you all have an amazing night and that you get lots of tasty candy. That’s all the time we’ve got left for this week’s episode, so you know what that means.
