My guest today is Blake Denman. Blake is the President and Founder at RicketyRoo, a Local SEO agency based in Bend, Oregon. Blake is a rising star in the Local SEO community. He’s an in-demand speaker at conferences all over the world. He’s a contributor at Search Engine Land and for Moz’s Local Search Ranking Factors study.

Blake is a huge fan of the show The Office and frequently incorporates elements from the show into his presentations. I met Blake last Fall at State of Search in Dallas where he delivered an excellent local SEO link building presentation while dressed exactly like Dwight Schrute.

This episode was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and so we’ve taken Suds & Search inside. I scheduled a Zoom call with Blake to talk about Local SEO and a new project he’s been working on.

Mark Bealin is the Founder and Principal at SearchLab, which was founded in March 2017. Under his leadership, Clutch and Manifest both named SearchLab one of the top agencies in Chicago in 2018 and 2019.

He is a board member of EO Chicago and a guest lecturer at DePaul University. Mark lives in Chicago with his wife and three children. He's a former varsity high school football coach and remains active at St. Ignatius College Prep.
