VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
Welcome back to another episode of Local Search Tuesdays. This is the last episode of 2024, so today I’m sharing the ten most popular episodes of 2024.

Isn’t it crazy that 2024 is over? I’ve been doing a weekly episode of Local Search Tuesdays for five years now, and every year at the end of the year, I share a list of the most popular episodes of the year. Each episode will be linked to in the transcript so it’s easy for you to find them.

Number 10: My slides from Digital Dealer
I gave a killer talk about the most common SEO mistakes that car dealers make.

Number 9: Website content tip: Use Google search filters for topic ideas
I talked about using the new search filters displayed in search results to help guide your content strategy.

Number 8: Website content tip: Avoid simple answers
I talked about writing content around topics that need a more in-depth or nuanced answer, since simple answers often result in featured snippets or AI overviews.

Number 7: My Halloween list of horror movies
My annual list of horror movies to watch really took off this year, check it out if you haven’t seen it yet.

Number 6: NADA mean tweets
I’ve been doing the mean tweet bit for years, and it’s always one of our most popular – and funniest – episodes every year.

Number 5: My slides from the inOrbit conference in Slovenia
This one has some killer tips for Local SEO, and it was a super fun move theme.

Number 4: My slides from SMX Advanced in Berlin
I gave a more advanced-level talk in Berlin a few months ago, and even though it was more recent, this one got a ton of views.

Number 3: Game-changing Local SEO tip edited by Gen Z
The whole Gen Z-edited video thing blew up on TikTok this summer, so I thought it would be fun to do an episode in the same style.

Number 2: My slides from NADA
NADA is the biggest automotive conference of the year, and even though their legal team won’t let me do the movie thing, this was still an excellent deck that was packed with awesome SEO tips.

And number 1: In loving memory of our dear friend Mark Irvine
Mark was an absolute legend, and we lost him way too soon. It’s fitting and completely unsurprising that our tribute video was the most popular episode of the year. He absolutely would have complained about being number one while secretly being stoked he “won”.

So those are the most popular episodes of Local Search Tuesdays for 2024. I hope you enjoy the night tonight, however you decide to celebrate. That’s all the time we have left for this week’s episode, so you know what that means.
Put your hand on the screen right here: We totally just high-fived ‘cause you learned something awesome. Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you again next year for another episode of Local Search Tuesdays.
