Our guest on this week’s episode of Suds & Search is Curtis Boyd, Founder of the Transparency Company.

Anyone who has paid any attention to Local SEO knows that spam is a big problem. In many cases, the spam isn’t merely annoying, it’s downright fraud. Consumers are harmed.

The Transparency Company exists to solve some of those problems. Curtis and his team have figured out a way to detect fake reviews. They’ve created a tool that will produce a “Transparency Report” that identifies reviews that were not naturally generated.

How does the tool work?

How can businesses use the tool to identify unscrupulous competitors?

What’s Google’s role in all this?

We’re going to ask Curtis these questions and many more.

Grab something cold to drink and join us for a conversation with Curtis Boyd. We’ll chat about the challenge of detecting spam from anonymous users, we’ll ask him about his collaboration with our mutual friend, and veteran spam fighter Jason Brown, and make sure you listen to the fascinating backstory of how Curtis ended up owning a spam detection company.
